Guitarist Moreland and vocal/harp's Arbuckle capture the early spirit of the 20th century Delta blues, with powerful garage-rock fused into the

Saturday, February 18:
Blues/Rockabilly/Roots from Memphis, Tennessee
Victor Wainwright & The WildRoots Band - $10.00

This band features power-house blues, Memphis soul and roots rock n' roll, high-octane boogie piano and big soul sounds with blues man Victor Wainwright, backed by one the tightest smokin' bands on the scene - the WildRoots. In short , they have scored another hit with their new cd "Lit Up." Can't wait to see them take the stage over at Uncle Bo's!

Friday, February 24:
Blues/Southern Rock from Nashville, Tennessee
Anthony Gomes - $10.00

"'Up to Zero' is the most honest representation of who I am," Anthony says. "When I started playing, all I wanted to do was dig deep and play the blues.  I wanted to capture that reckless blues power of my earlier catalogue on this recording.  I also have a love of melody that you can hear in soul and gospel music, and this CD has those elements as well."

Even on the songs that stray away from the traditional 12-bar blues format, you still can hear plenty of B.B. King or Buddy Guy. Anthony has been a favorite of Uncle Bo's for years. We hope you come by and hear his new music.

Saturday, February 25:
Blues/Rock/Roots from Nashville, Tennessee
Biscuit Miller and The Mix - $10.00

The "man with the smile", born on the south side of Chicago and raised by his Grandmother where he was given his childhood nickname, Biscuit - after always being in the kitchen and underfoot while she was trying to cook. Biscuit grew up with an appreciation for music, as gospel and soul were played in the home on a regular basis. He learned to play base and traveled with Anthony Gomes for years. That is where we first encountered Biscuit, so as they cross paths this weekend, we are wishing they could team up for just one more.

We never have a dull moment when Biscuit and The Mix are in the house. They have been away too long and we are ready for their energy!

There's your update for February 2012. I'm working hard on shows for the rest of the year. Mark your calendar for an Early Show with Janiva Magness on March 28, Bart Walker on St. Patrick's Day
and Albert Castigilia is also headed our way, so stay tuned.
